NYMM
KICKS OFF 2008 WHERE 2007 LEFT OFF
It’s
been 6 months since the checkered flags were dropped on the
2007 NYMM Series season, but it’s time to put down the
checkered and start waving the green as the 2008 NYMM Series
season kicks off this Saturday afternoon at the Black Rock
Speedway in Dundee, NY. Black Rock was host of the last two
NYMM Series events in 2007, and one of the wildest
Championship chases in NYMM history.
It
will be a wing thing Saturday afternoon as the powerful 410
Empire Super Sprints visit the Black Rock Speedway for the
first time as a sanctioned body since 2004. Also on the card
will be the 1200cc A-Verdi Central New York Mini Sprints.
There will also be a $3,000 to win 358 modified event that is
sure to pack the pits.
A
reminder to all drivers to get to the track early and get your
car inspected. Sign in and pin pull will end at 3:30pm as
racing is scheduled to start at 4:00pm. For those new to the
series, please make sure to sign in at the NYMM tent. Pit
gates will open at 1:00pm on Saturday. There will be a
practice/tech night Friday April 11th starting at
6:00pm. Pit passes
are $35 for the event with general admission prices of $15.
Due to the higher pit fee’s, we will not be charging the sign
in fee of $10 for members and $15 for non-members. However,
you will still be required to run a right and left rear
Hoosier racing tire or you will forfeit the evening’s payout.
One way radios are also mandatory to run in the event. The
NYMM Series guarantees drivers at least $75.00 to take the
green in the A-Main.
